Kingshall Furniture is a privately owned family run business originally founded in Sydney Australia in 1982. The UK operation was established in 1998. Our original company mission is to offer a large, well balanced range of teak garden furniture of the highest quality at a competitive price.      We stock teak garden benches, teak loungers, teak tables and chairs as well as a range of teak accessories.       We stock a diverse range of products to complete all your garden, patio and conservatory needs.

Kingshall deal exclusively in TEAK when manufacturing its wooden    garden products due to its unrivalled quality and durability. Genuine teak (Tectonda grandis) is rightly acclaimed as the premier wood for the construction of outdoor furniture due to its natural properties. Teak has a very high oil content and close grain which resists the action of water and also stops the wood drying in the summer months. For several centuries these special qualities have made teak wood the preferred choice for marine decking and construction.  

Since our formation as a company we have noticed an increase in cheaper sap wood being passed off as genuine teak on the market place.      The sapwood is the outside of the teak tree and is characterized by very white streaks throughout the surface.      The sapwood is often found when the teak tree has been harvested to early and not left to grow to full maturity.      Not only is it illegal to harvest the teak early it is also far inferior as a raw material.      The sap wood is very high in moisture and therefore prone to drying out and warping.      You can clearly see the sapwood when looking at the product and although it is much cheaper to purchase it is also inferior as far as durability.    

Kingshall Furniture only manufactures using grade A teak wood.      That is the wood found in the heart of the teak tree.      Characterized by a cream uniform colour and vastly superior to the sapwood in terms of durability and build quality.      The heart of the teak tree is also high in natural oils which give the furniture its strength when exposed to the elements. We also ensure that our furniture is kiln dried to remove any excess moisture prior to manufacture.
